Virtual Reality, Unreal Engine Blueprint

The scene of this project happens in the elevator area on the ITP floor where the ten elevators locate. Each elevator space acts like a treasure box where it holds so many narratives in it. The idea is to tell ten different stories of ten individuals in the virtual elevator space.  


The project aims to discover how spatial sound design would help tell a collective narrative in virtual reality.

Ideation

Elevator is like a train that takes all different kinds of people at different times through their own journey. The idea is to turn the mysterious elevator space to a  narrative element to tell a collective story in VR.

Story Record and Edit

Record 10 personal stories from 10 individuals for the collective storytelling experience. 10 items are created and placed behind each elevator door to represent 10 stories.

3D modeling all contents in Cinema4D

Simulate in Unreal Engine

All edited audio demos are input into Unreal Engine to align with each modeled item behind the elevator doors, then visualized and simulated in VR.
